- Today's attendance at the Kohl Center was a sellout crowd of 17,287, marking Wisconsin's 41st-consecutive sellout dating back to Jan. of 2014.
- Wisconsin won its season opener for the 14th time in the last 15 seasons.
- Head coach Greg Gard improved his career record to 16-8 (.667), including a mark of 9-2 at the Kohl Center.
- Wisconsin held Central Arkansas to just 47 points. The Badgers only held one team to 47 or fewer points last season (Pitt scored 43 in the NCAA tournament on March 18, 2016).
- The Badgers connected on 11 3-pointers. Last season UW had 4 games with at least 11 made triples.
- Senior G Bronson Koenig tallied a game-high 16 points, going 4-for-10 from 3-point range. He has now scored in double digits 47 times in his career.
- Senior F Nigel Hayes scored 14 points -- his 73rd game scoring in double figures -- to go with a game-high 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.
- Sophomore F Ethan Happ registered a game-high 9 rebounds and a career-best 4 assists. He also tallied 8 points, 2 steals and a block.
- Senior G Zak Showalter scored 10 points (5-5 FTs), his 11th career game scoring in double figures.
- Freshman G D'Mitrik Trice made his Wisconsin debut, finishing with 6 points (2-for-2 3FGs) in 13 minutes of action.
- Sophomore F Andy Van Vliet saw his first action at Wisconsin recording 2 points and 4 rebounds in 5 minutes.
- Redshirt freshman G Brevin Pritzl scored his first 2 career points as well as 3 rebounds in 4 minutes.
