Wisconsin Badgers

D'Mitrik Trice has had a big impact at Wisconsin since stepping onto campus in 2016. Having played in 112 games, including 77 career starts, Trice is the most experienced Badger on the roster. A Third-Team All-Big Ten honoree last season, Trice rounded out his game last season and set new career highs in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals while starting at point guard all 31 games. The Huber Heights, Ohio native averaged 9.8 points, 4.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game. Named a candidate for the 2021 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award, Trice ranked second in the Big Ten last season with a 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio. Scoring his 1,000th career point in UW's Big Ten title-clinching victory last season at Indiana, Trice became the first player in school history to amass 1,000 points, 300 rebounds and 300 assists by his junior season. Off the court, Trice is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten student.

Had a career year, setting new highs in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals while starting at point guard in all 31 games... averaged 9.8 ppg and 4.0 rpg... shot 37.6% from 3-point range with a team-high 24 steals... scored 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting (5-for-6 from 3-point range) in UW's upset victory at #19 Michigan (2/27/20)... tallied a career-high 31 points in UW's victory over Milwaukee (12/21/19)... became the first UW guard to post at least 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in a game since 2011 against Nebraska (1/21/20)... finished with 3 or more assists in 24 games this season... during UW’s 8-game win streak to close the season, Trice averaged 10.4 ppg (46.2% 3FG) and 5.8 apg... ended the season by becoming the 44th Badger in UW history to earn 1,000 career points in UW’s Big Ten title-clinching victory at Indiana (3/7/19).

Started the first 10 games of the season before suffering a foot injury that forced him to miss the remainder of the season...averaged 9.4 points, 2.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game...matched a season-high with 14 points against #23 UCLA (11/21), while also tallying 4 rebounds and 1 assist...vs. #15 Xavier (11/16), Trice recorded 9 points to go along with a season-high 5 rebounds and 3 assists

2016-17
Had an immediate impact as a true freshman, finishing as UW's top reserve in terms of points (5.6), assists (1.7) and minutes (18.3) per game ... led the team and ranked 9th in the Big Ten shooting 41.8% (38-91) from 3-point range ... maintained a 1.7 assist-to-turnover ratio, dishing out 63 assists to 37 turnovers ... in his first NCAA tournament game, recorded 6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and had 0 turnovers vs. Virginia Tech (3/16) in the first round ... made his first career start at Michigan (2/16) and finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals ... provided a big boost off the bench vs. Northwestern (2/12), scoring all 11 points in the second half and adding 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal ... matched a career-high with four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points (5-8 FG) vs. Florida A&M (12/23) ... erupted for a career-high 16 points vs. Oklahoma (12/3), finishing a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range ... wasn't phased by the competition vs. #4 North Carolina at the Maui Invitational (11/23), scoring 8 points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3FG, 3-3 FT)

A two-sport standout from Huber Heights, Ohio, Trice spent the 2015-16 season as post-graduate at IMG Academy averaging 12.3 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game ... as a prep at Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio, Trice excelled in basketball and football ... as a senior on the hardwood, he averaged 10.3 points and 5.7 assists per game leading his team to the 2015 state championship and the No. 22 ranking in the nation by USA Today ... named MVP of the state championship game after scoring 19 points ... a two-time first team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference honoree, led the conference in assists both his junior and senior seasons and ended his career at Wayne with a 3.6 to 1 assist-to-turnover ratio ... he averaged 11.5 points and 7.2 assists per game as a junior ... a three-year starter at Wayne, finished his career as the school's all-time assist leader (499) and tallied a record of 73-14 ... on the gridiron, quarterbacked Wayne High School to the state championship game as a senior in 2014 ... named Ohio Division I Offensive Player of the Year and finished with a career record of 25-3 as a two-year starter under center ... also a two-time Southwest Ohio District Player of the Year, the 2015 GWOC Player of the Year and finished with 7,231 career passing yards and 82 total touchdowns
