Wisconsin Head Coach Bobbie Kelsey
On what the conversation was when the Flyers took the early lead:

"It's disappointing. It really is. We have a senior veteran team and we can't seem to start the game off like we're supposed to. I don't have words for it. It's embarrassing, to be honest with you, because we don't have to play like that.

"In the second half, we held them to 30 points. We need to make that the first half. We can't wait until we're down 20 and then try to figure it out. This is a senior-laden team. It's very frustrating."

On the cause of the turnovers on the interior:
"The spacing is bad. We give them options, but you don't have to throw it if she's not open. You can't just turn and throw it because that's the 'play.' You have to read the defense. A lot of our turnovers are not on them. They played great defense, but some of them are us just throwing the ball away. I don't understand it."

On the expectation for McMorris this season:
"She's a very aggressive kid. She can do a little bit of everything out there. She can shoot the 3-pointer, go to the basket. Cayla just plays hard, and she has the ability to make the other team have to either guard her closer so she can get closer to the rim, or they kick it out to her and she hits the shot. This is her second-straight nice game. We need production from our older players.

"Dakota (Whyte) didn't do well tonight. Nicole (Bauman) struggled. But they're only getting up four shots. You have to find the ball. Granted, they played great defense, but I'm just curious to watch the film and see why those two in particular only got four attempts. You can find the ball and get a layup. You can get an offensive rebound and get a layup.

"I'm really disappointed in our effort. You've got to think this game and understand what you're doing and when. There may be times when you've got to just let it go. You have to know when to be aggressive and when to back out."

On the key thoughts regarding the two games in San Diego coming up this week:
"It's just us playing better, bottom line. Coming out ready to play, understanding what the game plan is and executing it. Our biggest problem right now is execution. We come down and you'd think we never practiced or went through any of this stuff. It's disappointing, but we're going to fix it. We have a senior team and we're going to challenge the seniors to step up. Period."
