AUSTIN, Texas – A pair of underclassmen led the Wisconsin diving team on day two of the Texas Diving Invitational in Austin, as freshman
Andrew Pearce and sophomore
Max Reynolds posted seventh- and eighth-place finishes, respectively, in the men's 3-meter final on Friday.

Pearce spearheaded the Badger efforts, as the San Francisco native recorded a score of 311.20 points. Reynolds finished just behind in eighth place with a score of 263.35 points.

In the preliminary round, Pearce led the way with a sixth-place showing, while Reynolds finished in seventh to qualify for the final round.

Clark Carter just narrowly missed the final qualification cut and finished ninth in the preliminary round, while
Ethan O'Neill,
Dan Cech, and
Matthew Aronson finished 13th, 14th and 15th, respectively.

In the women's 1-meter preliminary round, freshman
Dana Liva led the way with a 13th-place finish, as she recorded 249.95 points.
Ashley Peterson was 15th, while
Hazel Hertting,
Gabriella Comunale and
Alexandra Hafey were 18th, 19th, and 20th.

The Badgers return tomorrow for the third and final day of the Texas Diving Invitational. Both the men and the women will compete on the platform discipline, as the women's platform final begins at 10 a.m. (CT) and the men's platform final begins at 1:45 p.m.
