Those that made initial requests for Wisconsin-LSU game can now seek additional tickets
MADISON, Wis. — Donors to Wisconsin Athletics and football season ticket holders who made requests for tickets to the Badgers' season-opening game vs. LSU in the Carmex Lambeau Field College Classic during the original request period now have the option of seeking additional tickets.
The initial request period ended April 30. More than 8,800 donors and season ticket holders responded with requests for tickets, each of which will be fulfilled by the Wisconsin Athletic Ticket Office. Those initial requests account for approximately 20,000 of the 29,000 tickets available for UW donors and season ticket holders.
The number of tickets a patron could request during the initial period was capped based on their giving level. Those maximum quantities were limited so as to allow season ticket holders and donors of all levels to have the opportunity to request tickets for the highly-anticipated matchup.
"We were pretty conservative with our limits because we based everything in this process around the idea that we wanted to make sure all of our donors and season ticket holders had the opportunity to request tickets, regardless of how much they've contributed," UW Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez said. "We were able to do that. Now, we have the chance to let those that want more tickets make an additional request."
The secondary request period begins Wednesday, May 18, and runs through 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24. Donors and season ticket holders that requested tickets during the initial request period will receive an email with instructions on how to request additional seats.
Any tickets obtained by a patron through the secondary request period would be seated with the tickets from their initial request, at the same price point, ranging from $91 to $118.
The secondary request period applies only to tickets for the Wisconsin-LSU matchup. Donors and season ticket holders who requested tickets for Wisconsin's remaining home or away games will be notified of the status of those requests beginning in late May.
Questions can be directed to the UW Athletic Ticket Office, at tickets@UWBadgers.com or 1-800-GO-BADGERS.
The Carmex Lambeau Field College Classic, the first major college football game in the history of Lambeau Field, is set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. (CT) on Sept. 3.
