Game Day Voucher Exchange

On game day, students exchange their ticket voucher for admission into the Kohl Center at the student gate, which is located on the north end (Dayton Street) of the Kohl Center adjacent to Gate A. Voucher exchange begins 90 minutes prior to tip-off.

Students are encouraged to come to the student gate when they plan on entering the Kohl Center. Students wishing to sit together should enter through the student gate at the same time, get in a single file line, and have their vouchers scanned by the same ticket-taker. Following this procedure will ensure that groups of friends are allocated tickets together.

Once inside the student gate, students will have their vouchers scanned by ticket-takers. After the voucher has been scanned, students will receive a reserved seat ticket from a representative of the Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets will be distributed from the rows closest to the court on through to the top rows of the 300 level student sections. Students are required to sit in the section, row and seat that are printed on the ticket they receive.

Once students enter the arena and receive their ticket, students may not exit the arena and re-enter just by showing their ticket. Students also must sit in their designated section, row and seat, and must have their ticket in hand at all times, or are subject to removal from the Kohl Center.

Students are not allowed to have personal items (chairs, blankets, games, etc.) while waiting in line to exchange vouchers for tickets. Restrooms will not be available until gates open. All food and drinks must be disposed of in the proper receptacles. There is to be no alcohol of any kind. Students found with alcohol will have their tickets revoked for the remainder of the season.

Lotteries & Priority Seating

For the game vs. Duke, a lottery, designed to set the order in which students will be seated within the student section, may be conducted for students who choose to arrive for voucher exchange well in advance of tip-off. More information regarding a lottery for the Duke game will be e-mailed to student season ticket-holders in advance of the game.

For second semester Big Ten conference games, students who qualify for priority seating through the Badger Rewards program will have the closest seats to the floor reserved for their use.

Game Day Voucher Exchange - Seat Location Priority (Attendance Rewards Program)

  • For second semester Big Ten games, students can qualify for the priority seating section by accumulating reward points through game attendance (based on ticket scan data) and/or social media activity. Click here for more information regarding the student rewards program.
  • Reward point totals will be calculated throughout the season and displayed on the rewards program website. Prior to each game, students who have met the minimum qualifying threshold will be eligible for the priority seating section.
  • Students who qualify for the seat location priority will be notified via email prior to each game with information related to the procedures for securing their priority seat location.
  • For the six Big Ten Conference games scheduled for the spring semester, students who qualify for the seat location priority will have procedures to follow if they wish to utilize their seat location priority benefit. The student section seats located closest to the floor will be allocated to those who choose to use their benefit by complying with procedures which will be communicated at a later date.
