My favorite thing about Wisconsin volleyball is: The fans, the Field House, the team and the people around us Before each match, I: eat Best UW road trip: going to Long Beach last year was a pretty fun trip, we got to spend 30 minutes on the beach and many hours at the hotel, but it is always fun to travel with this team so every trip is great. Favorite place to play (besides the Field House): Nebraska, can't wait to see and play in their new gym One word that describes the team: Goofy One word that describes me: Food My teammates say I am: A teammate and friend Favorite thing to do off the court with my teammates is: relax, make food, hang out Most memorable volleyball achievement: Getting a full ride to the University of Wisconsin This summer, I: took two classes, went to Hawaii with my sister for eight days, spent some time with my sister in Madison. Layed on the docks with the team. Moved into my new apartment with 6(!) guys, and had a ton of fun with my friends Is there something significant about your uniform number? Its an even number The best thing about the Field House is: everything If I could change one volleyball rule, it would be: to stop changing volleyball rules My goal for this year is: to win the Big Ten and to go to the NCAA tournament Dream as a collegiate player: Take this team where its supposed to be - the NCAA tournament Who is the funniest player on the team? Hopefully playing pro in Europe or playing beach in Brazil The best thing about Madison is: The campus, the terrace, the BADGERS Fantasy job/career: Pro indoor or beach player Persons most admired/role models: I really admire the kids that I worked with before I came here. They were kids with disabilities, but they never gave up on anything, that always wanted to try and they tried until the got it right. It was the most eye-opening experience in my life My most prized possession are: my photos Favorite childhood memory: Being outside playing all day and night I can't live without: Food, just ask my teammates, I always eat My secret addiction is: Sparkling water, or its probably not that secret The best sporting event I ever attended was: Badger football game and World Tour in Stavanger Norway, it's a beach volleyball tour. That's a though one, there is so much I want to do, I would like to go to Africa and help the needing children there My bucket list includes: Skydiving, going to India, Thailand, New Zealand, China, Africa, climb high mountains, snorkeling on the most amazing places, learn how to surf Post-college plans/goals: Play in Europe or somewhere else Most famous person I've ever met: Marcio, a brazilian beach volleyball player My dream date would be: surprise me What are you most thankful for? What does it mean to be a Badger?
"It means being part of something that is so great that you cant explain it. Traveling home wearing my Badger gear, I have people all over Europe yelling 'Go Badgers' at me. It amazes me how big of a community it is!"
