• Spartan Invitational Brackets
MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's tennis team is in the midst of a rugged fall schedule that has it playing tournaments in five consecutive weekends.
After opening in Minneapolis at the Gopher Invitational last weekend, the Badgers travel to East Lansing for the 24th-annual Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational on Sept. 27-29. The tournament will be held on the campus of Michigan State at the MSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
Wisconsin will be one of seven teams competing this weekend, joining Akron, Cleveland State, Illinois-Chicago, IPFW, Toledo and host Michigan State.
In singles play, the Badgers will be represented by Lauren Chypyha and Sydney Rider in the Singles A bracket and Anastasia Tripolskaya and Helen Rabot in the Singles B bracket.
In doubles action, Chypyha and Rider will team up in Draw A, Lauren Burich and Helen Rabot will combine in Draw B, while Tripolskaya will be paired Pai Rygh from Toledo in Draw C.
Action at the Spartan Invitational is set to start Friday morning.
