#GetToGoodman promotion moved to Saturday

MADISON, Wis. -- With rainy conditions forecasted for the Madison area on Sunday, the Wisconsin softball team’s #GetToGoodman event has been moved to Saturday’s game, which will start at 1 p.m. at Goodman Diamond. Sunday’s game will now be played as part of a doubleheader today, Friday, April 25.

The Badgers will host Purdue as scheduled today at 4 p.m. on Big Ten Network and BTN2Go. The men’s hockey team, including assistant coach Gary Shuchuk and head coach Mike Eaves, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Their introduction and first pitch will take place just prior to game time at 4 p.m. The second game will begin at approximately 6 p.m.

Tomorrow, the #GetToGoodman festivities will begin when gates open at noon and will continue throughout the duration of the event as part of Fan Appreciation Day. Games, prizes and new in-game elements will all be part of the fun. A special pregame ceremony will also take place prior to the game to honor the four seniors and their families.

In addition, free ice cream will be available to fans in attendance while supplies last courtesy of Schoep’s Ice Cream.

Following the game, all children 12 and under will have the opportunity to go out onto the field and run the bases with the team. The team will also be available for signing autographs on the main concourse after the game.

Tickets for the general public will be available once doors open at the regular rates of $5 for adults and $2 for youth, UW students and seniors (55+). Groups of 15+ qualify for the group rate of $3 for adults and $1 for youth, UW students and seniors (55+). All seating is general admission and will be extended to outfield seating for this game.

Free parking for Saturday’s game is available in lots 60 and 76. Due to the Crazylegs Classic race, parking in Lot 60 will not be available until approximately noon. Access to the Lot 76 ramp will be via the south entrance. Fans should approach the ramp using Highland Avenue.
