• Wisconsin (4-5) returns to the diamond for five games at the Texas A&M Invitational Feb. 28-March 2. The Badgers will take the field twice against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-11) and No. 13 Texas A&M (12-4), before finishing the tournament with a game against UConn (0-5).

• UW and the Islanders have met just one time in program history. On March 16, 2000, the Badgers claimed an 8-0, six-inning victory over A&M - Corpus Christi in Sacramento, Calif.

• The Aggies hold a 3-0 advantage over UW, with the last meeting resulting in a 16-1 win during the 2010 season. Texas A&M opened the season with seven-straight wins before falling to McNeese State on Feb. 14 in College Station. The Aggies most recent loss was to No. 11 Nebraska on Feb. 21 in California.

• The Badgers are 3-0 all-time against the Huskies, most recently defeating them 5-3 in Charleston, S.C. during the 2012 season. UConn opened its 2014 season on Feb. 21 in Clearwater, Fla.

• The Badgers took last week off after posting a 2-3 record at the FIU Classic in Miami, Fla. Feb. 14-16. Wisconsin dropped a pair of contests on the tournament’s opening day before rebounding for a pair of run-shortened wins.

• In its final game at the FIU Classic, Wisconsin posted a season-high nine runs on a season-high 14 hits. The Badgers also stole a season-high 10 bases. Junior Maria Van Abel led the onslaught with a 5-for-5 performance at the plate and three stolen bases.

Junior Maria Van Abel had a game for the record books on Feb. 16 against FGCU, as she gathered five hits, one run and two RBIs. The Kaukana, Wis, native’s five at bats stand as her single-game career high, along with the five base hits, one triple, two RBI and three stolen bases she picked up.

Sophomore Taylor-Paige Stewart etched her name in the UW record books on Saturday when she threw her first career no-hitter against Bethune Cookman. Stewart pitched five complete innings, holding the Wildcats hitless, striking out two and walking two. The Badgers plated eight runs on nine hits and committed one error in the 8-0 victory.

Senior Cassandra Darrah picked up her first win of the season against Illinois State on Feb. 8, marking her 66th career victory at UW and moving her into second all-time. Andrea Kirchberg tops the record list with 87 career wins.

Senior Stephanie Peace started her final campaign with a bang last weekend. Peace homered on the first pitch she saw against Florida on Feb. 7. Peace went on to knock two more long balls over the fence, finishing the weekend with three homers, five RBI and a 1.300 slugging percentage.

Peace recorded just five long balls all of the 2013 season. The shortstop now ranks seventh on the Badgers' career record list with 17 homers.

Freshman Chloe Miller opened her collegiate campaign with a bang last weekend. Miller started behind the plate all four games, caught a no-hitter and hit a pair of home runs. The lefty finished opening weekend with a .250 batting average, scored three runs and posted three RBI on her way to a 1.000 slugging percentage.
