COLLEGE STATION, Texas-- An early start, multiple rain delays and less than ideal playing conditions didn't stop the Wisconsin softball team Sunday morning at the Texas A&M Invitational at the Aggie Softball Complex in College Stations, Texas. The Badger posted a 7-2 win over Connecticut in a game that was cut short after five innings due to rain.

In an effort to beat the weather, the Badgers' (7-7) game against the Huskies (1-9) started an hour earlier than originally scheduled. The early start had no effect on UW as Mary Massei doubled in the first at bat of the game and scored on a homer by Michelle Mueller two batters later.
