Why Wisconsin?

"For me, I knew the minute I stepped into Madison this is where I wanted to be. They have incredible academics, which are a huge priority for me, wonderful people to surround myself with and athletics to give me the all-around college experience. I get to learn from some of the smartest people, be at THE most beautiful campus I've ever seen and get to play softball on top of all of it. Why not Wisconsin?"

Off the Field with Taylor

My favorite thing about Wisconsin Softball is: "Definitely the atmosphere our team creates with each other. We have fun but push each other at the same time. I love the quote "surround yourself with those on the same mission as you," and that's exactly what my team provides for me.

One thing I absolutely have to do before I turn 40: I am currently studing to go to Med School, so something I'd want to do by 40 is to be a part of Doctors without Borders. Traveling is a huge passion of mine, and I love truly understanding new cultures. For me, if this wasn't something I HAD to do by 40, I wouldn't be that passionate about it.

Most memorable softball achievement: I do have a ton of memorable softball moments but I do have to say it was competing with the New Zealand team in Canada last summer. We got paired up to play Canada in the quarter finals and New Zealand had never made the semi-finals in history. We beat them 2-1 and it went against all odds and we made history!

What is your best UW memory? I don't think anything can compare to winning the Big Ten Conference my freshman year.

Greatest fear: I am horribly afraid of public speaking. I can be in the center of the field in front of thousans, but the minute I have to say something I freeze.
