MADISON, Wis. --  Highlighted by six matches in Wisconsin, including two in Madison, head coach Paula Wilkins and the Badgers announced their 2013 spring schedule on Tuesday.

After earning their third bid to the NCAA Tournament in the last four seasons in 2012, the Badgers opens their spring slate with a pair of home matches, beginning with an April 5 contest against the Ontario Provincial U16 squad. The Badgers will then welcome Illinois two days later, on Sunday, April 7 for their final match of the spring in Madison.

UW will take a week off before heading to Chippewa Falls, Wis., to take on Central Michigan on April 14.

The team will then gear up for four matches against familiar regional foes, beginning with their April 20 contest against Milwaukee. The Badgers will then prepare to take on Northwestern and Marquette in two separate matches on April 27 before wrapping up the spring with a friendly against Minnesota on May 4.

Wisconsin returns 12 letterwinners, including second-team All-Big Ten honoree Cara Walls, from last season's team that finished 12-8-1 and 5-5-1 in the Big Ten.

The Badgers also return five of their 11 starters from last season, including all three (Lindsey Holmes, Kinley McNicoll, Lexi Peterson) Big Ten All-Freshman team award winners.
