Helped lead the Owatonna Huskies to 3 Conference Titles and 2 Section Runner-up titles in her 5 years playing for the Varsity Squad. Recorded 73 goals and 27 assists in her career, which ranks 2nd all-time in OHS Girls Soccer for both. Was an All-Conference selection 3 years, and All-State Honorable Mention her senior year. Was named captain for her Junior and Senior year. Also ran OHS Varsity Girls Track and Field for 6 years, named an All-Conference Selection for 5 of those, and participated in the state meet numerous years. Involved in OHS Student Council all four years, serving as Executive Body President her senior year. Was elected Vice President of the Minnesota Association of Student Councils for the 2007-2008 term. Also involved in National Honor Society, Young Life, Peer Helpers, and OHS Athletic Training.

Off the Field with Lauren Cochlin

Why did you choose the University of Wisconsin?: Because the tradition and pride that the University of Wisconsin boasts is immeasurable. It's incredible. The unique combination and emphasis of competitive athletics and world-renowned academics makes this one of the best places in the world to go to school. Apart from that, I knew these coaches and the players they were going to bring in were going to push me each and every day. I wanted to be a part of a program, a culture, and a tradition like that.
What does it mean to be a Badger?: To compete on every level. Compete, compete, compete.
