MADISON, Wis. - Just two weeks into the fall semester, the Wisconsin women's openweight and lightweight rowing teams start their fall seasons with a trip to the Milwaukee River Challenge on Saturday.
The Badgers look to continue their dominating performances at the event after claiming the top five spots in both the open eight and open four races at last year's regatta. Like last year, Wisconsin will race six boats in both the open eight and open four races.
The women's open four race launches the regatta at 9 a.m. and the women's open eight race begins at approximately 11:30 a.m.
About the course:
The single-leg three mile course begins at 25th Street and Canal Street on the Menomonee River, proceeding east to the junction with the Milwaukee River, and turns north, ending at Schlitz Park, just south of Pleasant Street.
