MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's lightweight rowing team, and defending Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges champions, faced off against the 2011 EAWRC champions Princeton, Sunday on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
Unfortunately, the start of the 2013 campaign did not go as planned for the Badgers as they dropped the varsity eight race, coming in at 6:59.1.
The Tigers also took the second varsity eight race, but only by a narrow margin of 2.9 seconds.
However, Wisconsin finished the day claiming an eight-second victory in the novice four race, finishing in 8:16.0.
