MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women’s rowing programs are now accepting applications for their Rowing Fundamentals Camp. The one-day event will be held Sunday, Feb. 13, from noon – 4 p.m. at the state-of-the-art Porter Boathouse on the UW-Madison campus.
The camp is open to all girls in grades 9-12, including beginners and those with no rowing experience.
During the day, the campers will be able to use the rowing machines and the moving water rowing tank, the same facilities that the Wisconsin women’s openweight and lightweight rowing teams use to train. The athletes will also be around to work with the campers and to talk about what it’s like to row for a Division I varsity school.
There will also be a special forum on rowing at the collegiate level and the recruiting process. Information will be given to the campers about the Wisconsin women’s rowing annual week-long summer camp.
For more information, check out the camp brochure and application.
If you have any questions about the camp, please contact Wisconsin Lightweight Novice Coach Heidi Hunsberger at (608) 263-3222 or email@example.com.
