MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin junior rower Anne Rauschert (Bushnell, Illinois) was named the 10th openweight All-American rower in school history when the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association chose its 2014 Pocock All-America Teams. Rauschert was named to the second team.
Rauschert, who sat five seat for UW's varsity eight that placed 17th at the 2014 NCAA Rowing Championships, was already named to the 2014 CRCA All-Region First Team. A second-team All-Big Ten pick, Rauschert was a gold medalist with the U.S. women's eight at the 2013 World Under 23 Championships in Austria. She is in the running again to make the 2014 U.S. Under 23 team.
The CRCA All-America awards recognize outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains on the national level in women's collegiate rowing.
Selection to the team is based on the strength of each school's varsity eight finish at the NCAA championships, coupled with coaches input and 2k ergometer scores.
