INDIANAPOLIS -- With one day to prepare for the 2013 Big Ten Rowing Championships, the Wisconsin women's rowing team took advantage of the full day on Saturday to prepare itself for a tough regatta against some of the best teams in the nation.

The Badgers started the day off with morning practice, hitting the water at Eagle Creek Park around 9 a.m. (ET), but before they could do that, they needed to unload all the boats from the trailers and attached the riggers. After about an hour's time, all seven competition boats and two pairs were out on the water for practice.

Once morning practice had concluded, the team returned briefly to the hotel for lunch and rest, before returning to the course for another shorter practice and coaches' and coxswains meetings.

The Badgers arrive tomorrow back at the course at 7 a.m. (ET) to make final preparations for the regatta. Competition officially begins at 8 a.m. (CT) with the second novice eights.

Wisconsin is looking to return to the podium after finishing in third place the past two years at the Big Ten championships. The last UW conference came in 2010.

BTN will televise the Big Ten Rowing Championships on tape delay Sunday, May 26, at 4 p.m. (CT). Complete championships information including race results, seeds and updates can be found at www.bigten.org, and on Twitter @BigTenChamps.
