The Wisconsin women's rowing team completed the first day of competition at the 2013 NCAA Rowing Championships Friday in Indianapolis.

All three Wisconsin boats, the varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four, placed fourth in their respective heats and went on to race in repechage. Unfortunately, the Badgers were unable to advance to the A/B semifinals out of repechage and will all race in the C/D semifinals on Saturday.

The Badgers' varsity eight finished heat four with a time of 7:13.525, for fourth place, before finishing in fifth place with a time in 7:21.345 in the first repechage later in the day.

The second varsity eight followed the same story line as it took fourth place in heat two with a time of 7:10.244, before finishing in 7:34.701 for fifth in repechage.

Wisconsin's varsity four took a fourth-place finish its repechage with a time of 8:17.032, improving upon its heat time of 8:24.953.

The Badgers begin semifinal action Saturday at 8:10 a.m. (CT) with the C/D semifinals of the varsity eight. The second varsity eight races at 8:20 a.m., while the varsity four races at 8:40 a.m. The finals of the NCAA championships will be held on Sunday.
