The latest ranking was a four-spot jump for the Badgers, who checked in at No. 6 in last week’s poll. The USCHO.com Division I Women’s Poll also placed Wisconsin at No. 2 for the first time since the 2012-13 preseason rankings.

Undefeated Minnesota earned all 19 first-place votes and 190 points to remain in the No. 1 spot after a series sweep of Minnesota Duluth this past weekend. The Badgers, who received 145 points, claimed the No. 2 rank from Boston College, who dropped to No. 3.

Cornell checked in at No. 4 with 135 points and Clarkson followed with 117. Following a split series between WCHA-opponents North Dakota and Ohio State, UND dropped two spots to No. 6 and the Buckeyes made their first top-10 appearance in the poll, claiming the No. 10 spot.

The Badgers continue their 2013-14 season next weekend with a non-conference series against Lindenwood at LaBahn Arena. The teams take the ice Friday night at 7 p.m. and conclude the series with a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday.
