MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin senior forward Brianna Decker and junior goaltender Alex Rigsby have been named 2013 CCM Division I Women’s Hockey All-Americans.
Both were tabbed as second-team All-Americans after leading the Badgers to the 2013 WCHA Final Face-Off. It is the third All-America honor for Decker, who was named first team in 2012 and second team in 2011, and is the first for Rigsby.
Decker ended her career as Wisconsin’s second-leading career point scorer with 244 (115 goals and 129 assists). She was named a top-10 finalist for the 2013 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award and ranks eighth all-time in the NCAA for career points, seventh for career goals, and 15th for career assists. Decker was also named to the All-WCHA First Team after leading the Badgers with 29 goals and 26 assists this season.
Rigsby had a strong junior year, backstopping the Badgers’ defense to the nation’s third-best goals-against average (1.51). Leading the nation’s goaltenders in percentage of minutes played, she finished the 2012-13 season with a .943 save percentage, third-best in the nation.
