MADISON, Wis. – Two current and three former Wisconsin women’s hockey players are participating in the U.S. Women’s National Team Camp beginning on March 25 at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Current Badgers Brianna Decker and Alex Rigsby join former Badgers Meghan Duggan, Hilary Knight and Jessie Vetter at the annual camp. The week-long camp will include daily practices, testing and off-ice training.

The camp will be used to determine the U.S. roster for the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship in Ottawa, Ontario from April 2-9. Team USA has won four gold medals and 10 silvers in the 14 previous IIHF Women's World Championships.

A total of 28 players were invited to the camp, including 12 2010 Olympians and 20 players from the U.S. Women's National Team that captured first place at the 2012 Four Nations Cup in Vantaa, Finland, and 16 members of the 2012 U.S. Women's National Team that earned silver at the 2012 IIHF Women's World Championship.
