MADISON, Wis. - Senior Brooke Ammerman was named WCHA co-Offensive Player of the Week after she tallied six points in Wisconsin’s series with Ohio State last weekend. Ammerman helped lead Wisconsin in its 7-1 win on Friday and sparked a late comeback attempt in its 4-2 loss on Saturday.

A senior from River Vale, N.J., Ammerman scored two goals and set up four others for six points in the Feb. 17-18 series. She assisted on Friday’s game-winning goal and started a third period comeback attempt on Saturday, firing 12 shots on goal and earning a +3 plus/minus rating for the weekend.

In Wisconsin's 7-1 win over the Buckeyes last Friday, she scored one goal and set up three others for four points, including Brianna Decker’s second period game-winning goal.

Last Saturday, with the Badgers trailing 3-0 after the first period, Ammerman scored a second period power-play goal and then assisted on another power-play tally in the third as Wisconsin closed to within one goal at 3-2, in an eventual 4-2 loss.

In 34 games played, Ammerman is tied for third in scoring overall in the WCHA with 68 points (27 goals, 41 assists).

The Badgers will host Minnesota State this weekend in the WCHA first-round playoffs at the Eagles Nest in Verona, Wis., on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27, with a game on Sunday, Feb. 28, if necessary. Game times are set for 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
