MADISON, Wis. -- University of Wisconsin golfer Lindsay Danielson has been named to the 2009-2010 NGCA All-American Scholar Team, the National Golf Coaches Association has announced.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and Division I student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of the school’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
A freshman from Osceola, Wis., Danielson competed in 14 rounds in the 2009-10 season with an average score of 79.23. Her best finish came at the 2010 Big Ten Tournament where she finished tied for 26th.
Danielson becomes the 14th Badger in school history to be named an NGCA All-American Scholar and the first since Lindsay McMillan in 2006.
