MADISON, Wis. -- Badger Coach Todd Oehrlein announced the fall schedule for the UW women's golf team. UW returns for a fifth year to the Cougar Classic Sept. 14-16 hosted by the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. Last fall the Badgers recorded a top-10 finish with a 20-over par 298-292-294--884 to finish alone in 10th in a strong field of 20 teams. Kimberly Dinh finished even and tied for 10th with a career best 73-69-74--216.

The Badgers are venturing to new courses this fall with a new eight-team match play event co-hosted by Michigan and Wisconsin and this year held in Ann Arbor, Mich. The East-West Match Play Challenge will be held Sept. 20-22 at Radrick Farms Golf Course on the Michigan campus. The eight teams will play 36 holes of stroke play on day one, then enter a match play bracket for the final two days of play.

Northwestern will host the Windy City Collegiate Classic October 6-7 at the Westmoreland Country Club in Chicago. UW will venture to Knoxville, Tenn., October 17-19 for the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate.

The final fall event will be the Jim West Challenge hosted by Texas State University at the Tapatio Springs Golf Course in Boerne, Tex.

One spring location is also being announced. There will be a change in location for the Big Ten Women's Golf Championship the next two years. The Fort Golf Course in Indianapolis will be the site for the 2015 and 2016 Big Ten Women's Golf Championships. The 2015 championships will be held April 24-26, while the 2016 event will take place April 22-24.

The Fort: As part of the former Ft. Benjamin Harrison military base that was decommissioned in the early 1990s, the state of Indiana took over the facility as well as the surrounding 1,700 acres. The wooded acreage was transformed into a state park. The golf course was redesigned by renowned architect Pete Dye and reopened in 1997. The Fort is consistently ranked by numerous national golf publications as one of the top facilities in Indiana. In 2014, GolfWeek magazine said that The Fort was the top ranked public golf course in the Indianapolis area and the highest ranked course not associated with an accompanying casino in the entire state.
