MADISON, Wis. -- The UW women's golf team concluded its season placing ninth at the Big Ten Women's Golf Championships April 27-29 in French Lick, Ind., and set a number of school marks during the season. The following is a summary of the 2011-12 season.

• Wisconsin claimed one tournament title this season: The Badger Invitational at University Ridge in Madison. A 54-hole score of 908 put the Badgers at the top of the 10-team field and gave UW its second consecutive Badger Invitational title.

• Wisconsin had a record-setting day at the Westbrook Invitational. Sophomore Alexis Nelson finished sixth with a 54-hole total 213. That mark tied the record for lowest
54-hole individual score in school history. The team’s score of 883 was the fifth-lowest 54-hole score in school history. Six weeks later the Badgers bettered that mark with an 881 performance at the Knights and Pirates Invitational.

• Nelson turned in a first-round, 68 performance as part of her effort at Westbrook,
the lowest single-round score for the Badgers this season and fifth-lowest all-time.

• Wisconsin set season team lows through 18, 36 and 54 holes all the the Knights and
Pirates Invitational (289-302-290=881). The Badgers finished 3rd at the tournament.

• Senior Jessie Gerry, junior Lindsay Danielson and sophomore Kris Yoo competed in
all 30 rounds for the Badgers this season.

• Danielson finished with the lowest scoring average for UW this season, 75.90. Yoo
trailed Danielson, at 76.40. Both rank in the top-ten all time for season 18-hole averages.

• The Badgers finished the season with a 304.90 18-hole average, the third-lowest
mark in program history and just 1.97 storkes off the record set in 2009-10.

• Wisconsin set six of the top-20 18-hole scores in team history this season.

• Ten different golfers competed for Wisconsin this season, including five who made
their collegiate career debuts.

• Gerry finishes her career as one of Wisconsin's greatest golfers. Her 77.82 career
scoring mark is seventh-best all-time in school history. Gerry also holds the records for lowest 18-hole score (66), lowest 36-hole score (137) and the second-lowest 54-hole score (215). Additionally, Gerry holds the eighth-lowest season average (76.28 in 2010-11).
