MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women’s golf team resumes its spring season and travels to St. George, Utah, this weekend for the 2013 BYU at Entrada Classic, held at Snow Canyon Country Club, March 18-19.

The 54-hole tournament, hosted by Brigham Young University, begins on Monday, with teams playing the first 36 holes beginning with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (CT). The competition concludes on Tuesday as the final 18 holes get underway with another shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (CT).

There are 15 teams scheduled to compete, including BYU, Boise State, Dixie State, Cal State Fullerton, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico State, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Southern Utah, Utah Valley, Weber State, Wyoming and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin did not appear in the tournament last season, as Texas State won last year’s BYU Entrada with a 28-over par 300-300-292=892, while Oklahoma State came in second place and Nebraska rounded out the top three.

The Badgers last competed in the tournament during the 2010-11 season, as they went on to win the event with a 50-over par 313-302-299=914. Current Badgers, Alexis Nelson, Lindsay Danielson and Kris Yoo led the way, finishing one-two-three for the Badgers, respectively. Nelson carded a 12-over par 74-78-76=228 to tie for eighth place individually, while Danielson tied for 10th with a 13-over par 80-76-73=229 and Yoo also tied for 10th with a 13-over par 78-77-74=229.

Competing again at the event this season for Wisconsin will be Danielson and Yoo, along with Kimberly Dinh, Dana Voss and Aaren Ziegler.

Not factoring into team scoring and golfing individually two weekends ago at the Westbrook Invitational, Voss recorded an 8-over par 74-75-75=224 to finish in a tie for 17th place. Helping the Badgers tie for 8th place as a team was Dinh, who tied for 36th place with her 14-over par 73-77-80=230, and Ziegler, who carded a 21-over par 81-78-78=237 to tie for 61st place.
