AUSTIN, Texas. -- The Badgers slipped one place to 14th with a 303-315-618 in the second round of the 54-hole Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at UT Texas Golf Course in Austin. The host team leads the field by eight strokes with a 5-over par 288-293-581. First round leader Florida is second with 285-304-589.
Florida's Mia Piccio leads the field with a 3-under par 71-70-141 and Texas' Madison Pressel, sister of LPGA star Morgan Pressel, is two strokes back at 72-71-143.
After an incredible opening round of 2-under par 70 which included a 30 on her back nine, Wisconsin senior Jessie Gerry dropped from third to a tie for 20th with 70-78-148 to finish at 6-over par.
Sophomore Lindsay Danielson improved from 43rd to a tie at 39th with a 9-over-par 76-77-153. Sophomore Kris Yoo is tied at 55th with 12-over 77-79-156.
Freshmen Aaren Ziegler and Kimberly Dinh rounded out the scoring for Wisconsin. Dinh is at 18-over-par 81-81-162, good for a tie for 73rd place. Ziegler is a stroke back with 80-83--163 and tied at 74th.
The final 18 will be completed on Wednesday.
