Wisconsin in hunt heading into final day in Las Vegas

 Day two results

Las Vegas -- Slipping just two spots in the team standings, the Wisconsin women's golf team kept itself in contention at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Monday, with only the third and final round remaining.

Tied for the lead through the first round of golf at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club, Wisconsin and Indiana dropped down a couple spots during the second round. Indiana closed the second day in third place with a 23-over par 292-307--599 and Wisconsin finished in a tie for fourth place with a 28-over par, 292-312--604.

University of Central Florida (UCF) began the day in a tie for seventh place, but surged up the leader board and took control of the overall lead with its 20-over par 303-293--596. Penn State also moved up, climbing from fourth place to second place with a 22-over par 300-298--598.

Christine Vosters of Penn State holds the individual lead at an even par 73-71--144. Ally McDonald of Mississippi State remained in second place with a new total of 1-over par 71-74--145.

For Wisconsin, Kris Yoo remained just outside the top ten and in contention for a top individual finish, wrapping up her second round in a tie for 11th place with a 5-over par 73-76--149. Lindsay Danielson sits in a tie for 13th place with a 6-over par 72-78--150.

Alexis Nelson ended her second day in a tie for 21st place with an 8-over par 72-80--152, Kimberly Dinh placed in a tie for 28th place with her 9-over par 75-78--153 and Aaren Ziegler came in a tie for 50th place with a 13-over par 76-81--157.
