FLORENCE, Ind. -- Lindsay Danielson may be a native of Osceola, Wis., but she looked right at home Saturday in Florence, Ind., while competing in the Hoosier Fall Invite.

The senior put together two of the best rounds of golf in her career to remain at the top of the leader board with  a 4-under par 72-68--140 going into the final day of competition tomorrow at the Belterra Resort.

Danielson finished with a career-low through 36 holes of golf and is on pace for a career-low, 54-hole total, after shooting four strokes under her previous personal-best 36-hole total of 144.

Shooting even par through the first 18 holes of competition, Danielson followed up with an impressive 4-under par second round later in the day. Danielson carded a total of nine birdies through her first 36 holes of golf.

Not only a record-pacing individually, but as a group the Badgers shot well, remaining consistent throughout the day and finishing in second place with a season-best 16-over par 296-296--592.

Host team Indiana gained the early lead and quickly built upon it, finishing the first day well out in front of the pack with a 4-over par 295-285--580.

Kris Yoo and Alexis Nelson were also off to fast and effective starts for Wisconsin, as Yoo carded a 5-over par 75-74--149 to come in a tie for 13th place, and Nelson recorded a 7-over par 74-77--151 to come in a tie for 17th place.

Aaren Ziegler also picked up a top-25 finish through the first two rounds, placing in a tie for 22nd place after shooting an 8-over par 75-77--152.

Kimberly Dinh completed the scoring for Wisconsin by tying for 44th place and finishing with a 15-over par 80-79--159.

Also competing for Wisconsin, but not factoring into scoring, was Abby Busler and Alyssa Elliott. Busler had a great debut day of golf, shooting 10-over par 77-77--154 and sitting in a tie for 28th place. Elliott tied for 64th place with her 20-over par 82-82--164.

The final 18 holes of the Hoosier Fall Invite will take place tomorrow, with Danielson looking to hold her overall lead in pursuit of an individual title and the Badgers collectively look to chase down the Hoosiers atop the leader board.

Competition tees off tomorrow with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. (CT). Live coverage can be found on Golfstat.com.
