Wisconsin eighth after two rounds of the Silverado Showdown

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women’s golf team is eighth of 15 teams after the first two rounds of the 54-hole Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif.

Wisconsin is at 18-over par with a 300-295--595 on the par-72 North Course at the Silverado Resort and Spa. Washington leads the tournament with a 5-over par 289-292--581. No. 1 Southern California is a stroke back.

Leading the tournament is Arizona's Lindsey Weaver at 8-under par 69-67--136. Only 11 players in the 75-player field are even or under par.

The Badgers are closely grouped led by junior Kimberly Dinh tying for 22nd with a 4-over par 76-72--148. Freshman Brooke Ferrell continues her successful first season tying for 27th with a 5-over par 72-77--149. Senior Alexis Nelson is tied for 37th with a 7 over par 78-73--151. Senior Kris Yoo is tied for 41st at 8-over 79-73--152 and Aaren Ziegler is tied for 56th after a difficult second round at 13-over par 74-83--157.
