MADISON, Wis. -- Six members of the Wisconsin women's basketball team were named to the winter Academic All-Big Ten team, the Big Ten Conference office announced. It is the most honors for the Badgers under third-year head coach Bobbie Kelsey and the most for the UW since the 2009-10 season.

Senior Morgan Paige picked up her third-straight Academic All-Big Ten honor, becoming the 27th UW player to earn three honors in a career. The life science communications major wrapped up her career with 1,230 points, which ranks 18th on the Badger career record list.

Juniors Jacki Gulczynski and AnnMarie Brown both earned their second Academic All-Big Ten honors while first-year recipients were seniors Taylor Wurtz and Daria Kryuchkova as well as sophomore Tessa Cichy.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

A total of 34 Wisconsin student-athletes were recognized for the winter season. In all, 678 student-athletes from across eight sports were honored by the Big Ten.
