Why Wisconsin?

"I chose this school because of the atmosphere on campus. Walking around Madison really feels like home. Everyone loves the Badgers, no matter where in the country you go."

Off the Court with Mikey

Favorites--Spot on campus: Union South; Movie: How to Train Your Dragon; TV Show: Scandal; Book: The Things They Carried; Athlete: Steph Curry; Basketball Player: Wilt Chamberlain; Sports team: Kansas City Chiefs

First started basketball (age/grade): 5 years old
Most memorable basketball game: Playing my cross town rival my junior year in high school. The gym was sold out and we won the game with free throws in the last five seconds. It was the most incredible feeling.
My favorite thing about Wisconsin basketball is: How much my teammates care for each other.
Before each game, I: Have a bit of quiet time, just sitting by myself and listening to music.
One word that describes the team: Compassionate
One word that describes me: Quiet
My teammates say I am: Sarcastic
Favorite thing to do off the court with my teammates is: Just sit around and talk at someone’s place.
Most memorable basketball achievement: Achieving my dream of becoming a college athlete
What is your earliest basketball memory? My dad putting up our driveway goal.
Favorite place to play (besides the Kohl Center): Allen Fieldhouse
If I could change one basketball rule, it would be: Allowing more contact in the post.
This summer, I: Took a trip to Disney World, went to Jamaica for a wedding, and worked out while taking classes back in Madison.
Is there something significant about your uniform number? My mom, dad, and sister have all played with the number 32, so it's a family thing.
Team goal for the season: Become a force in the Big 10 and making the NCAA tournament.
Individual goal for the season: Getting on the court and contributing to the team in any way I can.
The best thing about Madison is: How welcoming and loving all of the people are.
Fantasy job/career: Opening my own bakery.
Person(s) most admired/role models: My sister
The most fun place you have traveled to with the team is: The Bahamas last year for Thanksgiving
What are you most looking forward to this season? Finally getting to step on the court in a Badger uniform
Was the dress blue and black or white and gold? BLUE AND BLACK. No question. (PS those were my high school colors, so I might be biased)
What is your favorite Coach Bobbie quote? “You have to go after the ball like it’s a steak sandwich! It’s not a PB&J. Who doesn’t want a steak sandwich!!”
I can’t live without: My Kitchen-Aid mixer
My secret addiction is: Peach tea
Weird thing about me that almost no one knows: I absolutely love Bernese Mountain Dogs
You won’t catch me eating: Watermelon (I’m allergic)
Greatest Invention of the last 100 years: Steam Power
If I could live any place in the world it would be: London, England
Non-athletic talent I would like to have is: Singing
If I could meet three people from throughout history they would be: Amelia Earhart, Albert Einstein, Julius Caesar
If you could play any character in a movie or TV series, who would it be and why: I would be Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon, because honestly who wouldn’t want to ride a dragon that acts like a puppy?
My bucket list includes (things you dream about doing): Traveling around Europe, opening a bakery, skydiving, climbing a volcano.
The best advice I have ever gotten is: Only you have to power to better your future.
My worst habit is: Biting my nails

What's the best part about being a Badger?

"I love that being a Badger means so much more than wearing a Wisconsin uniform. We have traditions and morals to uphold. We always do what we can to make our University proud!"
