Last time out: vs. No. 25 Hofstra
• The Badgers opened the 2012-13 season by knocking off No. 25 Hofstra, 18-13, last Sunday at the UW Field House. The win was Wisconsin’s first over a ranked opponent since the Badgers defeated then-No. 16 Northwestern, 25-13, on Feb. 10, 2011.

• The Badgers found themselves trailing against the Pride, 13-9, after seven matches, but stormed back to win on the strength of three-straight wins by decision by redshirt sophomore Dylan Iczkowski at 184 lbs., redshirt junior Jackson Hein at 197 lbs., and redshirt senior Cole Tobin at heavyweight.

• This weekend will mark the third ever meeting between Wisconsin and Old Dominion, and the sixth all-time meeting of the Badgers and Hokies. All-time, Wisconsin is 2-0 against the Monarchs and 2-2 against Virginia Tech.

• The Badgers last faced Virginia Tech during the 2010-11 season at national duals where the Hokies came out on top, 20-19. The two teams also met earlier that year during the Big Ten/ACC Clash, where the Badgers updended the Hokies, 24-19. Before that season the two programs hadn’t faced each other since the late 60s, when they split a pair of duals at the UW Field House. Virginia Tech beat Wisconsin, 17-16, during the 1967-68 season and Wisconsin responded with a 22-13 win two seasons later in 1969-70.
