2012-13: Redshirt season ... had a 9-6 record in open tournaments at 157 and 165 lbs. ... 2-2 record at 157 lbs., at the UNI Open ... 1-2 record at 165 lbs., at the Flash Flanagan Open ... 3-2 record at the Grand View Open at 165 lbs. ... won the Blugold Open at 165 lbs., with a 3-0 record.

High school: Four-time state placer for Iowa City West High School ... three-time FILA Cadet Nationals champion... 2009 Cadet National freestyle champion and second in Greco-Roman... five-time All-American in Fargo at Junior Nationals.

Davis on Koethe: "Justin is a middle weight class guy like Isaac Jordan, but Jordan is bigger than he is. He's going to bring a lot to our middle weight guys and I think he will fit well with the program."

Personal: Parents are Mark Koethe and Cheri Williams ... has one sibling, a sister named Sheyanne ... intends to major in business management at UW ... hobbies include hanging out with friends, music, and movies ... his wrestling idol is Jordan Burroughs.

Why Wisconsin?: Because it has a great campus, I love the wrestling, the coaches, and the team.
