The University of Wisconsin mens track and field team continued its outdoor season by competing in the Stanford Invitational on Friday in Palo Alto, Calif.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Ryan Gasper placed fifth with a NCAA regional qualifying time of eight minutes and 47.39 seconds.
Matt Withrow claimed tenth in the 10,000-meter run. The junior finished in 28:26.75, an automatic NCAA regional qualifying time.
Sophomore Jack Bolas and freshman Evan Jager placed 15th and 16th, respectively, in the 800-meter in 1:51.01 and 1:51.04. Bolas and Jager both missed the NCAA qualifying time by just over one second.
The Badgers continue events at the Stanford Invitational throughout the day Saturday.
