The University of Wisconsin will host the 2012 Big Ten Conference Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament, Nov. 2-5, at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wis. Eight Big Ten schools will participate in the four-day tournament. Admission to the 2012 Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament is free.

The 2012 Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament will be held at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Nielsen Tennis Stadium is the official home court of the University of Wisconsin men's and women's tennis teams. The Wisconsin tennis teams are afforded a competitive advantage by playing year-round at Nielsen Tennis Stadium, ranked by USTA as one of the finest tennis facilities in the country. The stadium features 18 tennis courts (12 indoor and six outdoor), five singles squash courts and one squash doubles court. Nielsen Tennis Stadium was built in 1968 for $2 million and is now valued at nearly $9 million.
General Information
Admission There will be no fee for admission to the 2012 Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament.
Awards Trophies for the Doubles Champions and Finalists (A and B Flights) will be awarded at the conclusion of play on Friday, November 2nd.
Trophies for the Singles Champion and Finalist will be awarded at the end of the Championship match on Monday, November 5th.
Balls The Wilson Extra Duty tennis ball will be the official ball used at the Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament.
Concessions There will be no "official" concessions provider for the general public. However, vending is available inside Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the lower level.

Hospital/Emergency The University of Wisconsin hospital is located directly across the street from Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Please call 911 in case of an emergency. A team physician will be on call or on site during the tournament.

Hospitality An assortment of healthy snacks and beverages will be provided next to the competition courts throughout the tournament.
Jewelry The Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament will follow the policy outlined by the NCAA.
Locker rooms Men's Locker room will be available at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The locker room will be locked - all participants will be given the code to the locker room - we do recommend that you do not leave valuables in the locker room.

Merchandise There will no merchandise sales for the Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament.
Parking - Spectator Parking is available in Lot 76 the ramp next to Nielsen $1.75 per hour. Parking is free of charge in Lots 76 and 60 on Saturday and Sunday.
Parking - Team Teams will be provided with 2 parking passes for Lot 76 (directly east of the Nielsen Tennis Stadium) on Friday and Monday. Parking in Lot 76 is free of charge on Saturday and Sunday. Lot 60 is the only lot available for buses.
Results Coaches will receive updated results at the completion of each day. Fans not attending the tournament can visit UWBadgers.com for match updates.
Rules Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rules shall govern match play, except as modified by the tournament manual, the conference handbook, and NCAA rules.
Sports Medicine Because of the size of this tournament, we will be setting up a temporary athletic training facility on one of the squash courts inside of Nielsen. If your team will be traveling without a certified athletic trainer please provide a written prescription for modalities and notify us prior to the visit so appropriate arrangements can be made.
An athletic trainer will be present at least one hour prior to the start of matches. There will not be an athletic trainer on site for the practice sessions. A physician will be on call for the matches.

Stringing services Stringing services will be provided at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Rates and hours will be available at the Tournament Desk as well as included in your welcome packet.
Tournament Desk The Tournament Desk is located immediately inside the main entrance to the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Tournament Desk will be the main operations center for all Tournament activities, including match times, court assignments and results.
The Tournament Desk will also serve as the concierge desk. For information, directions, acceptance of deliveries, shower towel pick-up / drop-off, etc., please make your requests at the Tournament Desk.
