The University of Wisconsin wrapped up the final day of the Big Ten Singles Tournament Monday, as Iowa's Christian Bierich claimed the individual title. Four matches were played today at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium to conclude the four day tournament.
Bierich lost only one set on his way to the championship match where he faced Minnesota's Sebastian Gallego. Bierich claimed the title in two sets 6-3, 6-4. Bierich and Gallego both successfully moved on to the finals match after both winning in two straight sets in the semi-finals Monday morning.
Michigan's George Navas won the finals in the consolation bracket. Navas defeated Minnesota's Julian Dehn in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
The Big Ten Network will air the finals match Sunday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. CT.
