Madison, Wis.- Wisconsin will send eight players to compete at the Big Ten Indoor Singles/Doubles Championships at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex in Iowa City, Oct. 28-31.

The tournament includes 17 nationally-ranked singles players and nine ranked doubles teams. It will provide a great opportunity for the Badgers to compete against great competition and gain valuable experience against other Big Ten competitors whom they will see in the spring season.

Two Badgers will be seeded for the singles tournament as sophomore Fredrik Ask is seeded ninth and junior Alexander Kostanov is the 11th seed. The other six Badgers competing in the singles tournament are junior Billy Bertha, sophomores Alexander Teppert, Petr Satral and Alex Robles and freshmen Austin Akers and Jack Larsen. The bracket is comprised of 64 of the Big Ten's top players.

There will be two flights of doubles competition. The flight A bracket will include 16 teams and the flight B bracket will include fourteen teams. Bertha/Kostanov and Ask/Satral will compete in the doubles flight A bracket while Robles/Teppert and Larsen/Akers will play in the Flight B bracket.

All doubles matches will be played on Friday while all singles play will take place from Saturday to Monday.

The Big Ten Indoor Singles/Doubles Championships is the last opportunity the Badgers will have to compete against other competition before the start of the spring season.
