MADISON, Wis.—Former UW men’s tennis player Moritz Baumann took home the doubles title at the Gatineau National Bank Futures in Gatineau, Canada this weekend.

At the No. 4 seed, Baumann and partner Tim Puetz defeated the No. 3 seeded Adam El Mihdawy and Peter Polansky, 7-6 (0), 6-1 in the finals of the tournament.

The Gatineau National Bank Futures tournament was an International Tennis Federation event and marked the biggest win of Baumann’s professional doubles career.

As a Badger, Baumann made three appearances in the NCAA singles tournament and was the first player in UW history to earn All-Big Ten honors in all four years.
