The University of Wisconsin swimming and diving team concluded competition today in the Minnesota Invitational at the University Aquatic Center. The swimmers competed in just the preliminary round, while the divers took part in the finals of platform.
Full team scores will not be available until the conclusion of the meet.
Highlighting the day for Wisconsin was sophomore Justin Bonner, whose 241.75 points in the platform for fifth place set a school record.
Justin was solid, diving coach Josh Seykora said. I am very happy how he has progressed. He had a great meet.
Meanwhile, Kelly Todd took sixth with 169.65 points, and Amanda Witte notched fourth with a score of 215.75.
Anna Trinidad and Sarah Hernandez both won swimming events; the former was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke prelim (2:00.68), while the latter was first in the 100-yard freestyle prelim (51.06).
The Badgers have the week off before head to Austin, Texas, for the Texas Invitational Dec. 1-3.
