Weiss swims to top time in the country
With five new school records already in the first two days of the 2013 Big Ten Championships, the Badgers broke two more on the second day of competition and tied a third in Bloomington, Ind. Senior Michael Weiss alone set his fifth school record of the meet Friday, including his third individual record.
“We probably had one of the best morning sessions this morning that we’ve had in the last decade or so,” Head coach Whitney Hite said. “So we were really awesome and it paid off tonight. We have some great swims. Certainly highlighted by Michael Weiss.”
Weiss, who set new school records in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle the first two days of the meet, saved his greatest performance yet for Friday, winning the Big Ten title and setting a new top time in the country this season in the 400-yard individual medley. (Read More)
