The Wisconsin mens soccer team will travel to Flames Field in Chicago to take on the University of Illinois-Chicago in UWs last non-conference game on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.

Most recently, the Badgers (5-6-5 overall, 0-3-2 Big Ten) fell to Oakland at home 3-2 on Oct. 24 after drawing even with Penn State 3-3 at University Park in a hard-fought match going into double overtime on Oct. 20.

The Flames (6-4-5, 2-1-3 Horizon League) shut out UW-Milwaukee 2-0 in their last game on Oct. 21 at Flames Field. Prior to that, the team suffered a 1-0 loss to UW-Green Bay at Green Bay on Oct. 18, a team that UW tied 0-0 earlier this season.

Wisconsin and Illinois-Chicago have played four times in the past. The first time the teams met in 2001, the Badgers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Flames at the McClimon Soccer Complex. Since then, however, Wisconsin has held the upper hand with a 3-1-0 record competitive record over Illinois-Chicago.

In their most recent game on Sept. 28, 2006 in Madison, the Badgers shut out the then-No. 7 Illinois-Chicago 1-0.

The last and only time the two teams met in Chicago was Sept. 15, 2002, when UW defeated the Flames 4-3 in double overtime.

The Badgers will look to junior Victor Diaz (Madrid, Spain) and sophomore Brian Bultman (Tucson, Ariz.), who co-lead the team in scoring with four goals each, as well as Brandon Miller (Vadnais Heights, Minn.), who co-leads in assists with Diaz at five assists each, for an offensive edge on Sunday.

On defense, upperclassmen Nick Caronna (Brookfield, Wis.) and Andy Miller (Barrington, Ill.) will likely continue to anchor the backline with the help of true freshman Cale Cooper (Madison, Wis.), who has logged minutes in the backfield in the past few games.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Flames Field in Chicago, Ill. Fans can follow the action via live stats by clicking here .
