Wisconsin celebrates Soccer Fest

The Wisconsin soccer programs play host to SoccerFest and its alumni this weekend at the McClimon Soccer Complex. Two doubleheaders featuring the mens and womens teams are scheduled for this Homecoming weekend Friday and Sunday.

Tonights doubleheader for the Badger soccer programs is UW Student Night. All UW-Madison students get free admission with a student ID. The action starts at 5 p.m., with the womens team kicking off against Ohio State. Following the womens game, the Badger men take on Dartmouth at 7:30 p.m.

The UW Marketing Office will have a FanZone at the weekend soccer games on campus. Among the interactive games will be a speed kick, obstacle course, inflatable attractions and a balloon artist (Sunday's games only).

Saturday morning, the mens alumni game will take place at the University Bay Fields. Kick-off is 11 a.m.

At the Sunday men's and women's soccer games, a Bucky Badger poster (courtesy of Fuji Film, Woodman's Markets and Pioneer Photo Albums) will be given to fans while supplies last. The "Web Offer of the Week" on UWBADGERS.COM is a redeemable coupon to "buy one admission and get one free" for the soccer festival on Sunday (Oct. 20).

Sunday's soccer action is Youth Soccer Day (kids eighth grade and under receive free admission if in uniform), Scout Day (boy and girl scouts in uniform are admitted free) and High School Day (high school teams get free admission if they pre-register by faxing a roster to 608-265-2881 or emailing it to ata@athletics.wisc.edu.

On Sunday, the womens team takes on No. 9 Penn State, while the mens team battles Michigan. The action starts at 11 a.m.
