MADISON, Wis. - All of the Wisconsin men's soccer team's hard work is starting to pay off.

After returning home from a successful road trip in which the Badgers grabbed two wins from South Florida and Florida Gulf Coast, both 2012 NCAA Tournament teams, UW was rewarded this week as they appeared in their first national rankings of the season.

Wisconsin was included in four national polls, peaking at No. 29 in College Soccer News' Top-30, No. 25 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Top-25, No. 22 in Top Drawer Soccer's Top-25 and No. 21 in Soccer America's Top-25.

UW's appearance in the NSCAA/Continental Tire poll is there first in over a decade. The Badgers last cracked the poll in 2002 when they earned a No. 20 ranking.

Wisconsin looks to continue to rise in the rankings as they travel to Chicago to participate in the UIC Classic.

The Badgers battle IPFW on Friday at 5 p.m. CT and Gonzaga on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
