Bidding open for piece of Hohlbein history

A piece of history involving former University of Wisconsin All-American and current Kansas City Wizards star team=t105&player=hohlbein_a&playerId=hoh385627&statType=current"> --> Aaron Hohlbein is currently up for grabs in an online auction.

Fans can bid on an autographed, game-worn Hohlbein jersey, with the Wizards donating proceeds from the auction to five different youth charities as part of the team's Community Night activities.

The No. 15 jersey was worn during the Wizards' ymd=20080809&content_id=178989&vkey=news_kcw&fext=.jsp&team=t105"> --> 3-2 win over Chivas USA on Aug. 9, a game that saw Hohlbein notch his first career MLS point with an assist on what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Hohlbein, a 2007 UW graduate, was drafted by the Wizards with the No. 3 pick in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft. He has started 14 consecutive games in his second season in Kansas City, dating back to the Wizards' 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake on June 28.

With the Badgers, Hohlbein was a four-time All-Big Ten Conference selection and was named to the NSCAA All-America team as a senior in 2006.
