After coming from behind in a thrilling 3-2 victory over UNLV on Friday night, the Badgers (2-2-0) fell flat on Sunday afernoon against Mount St. Marys (2-2-0) at the UNLV Tournament. Despite holding the Mountaineers to just two shots in the first half of play, the UW defense gave up 12 shots in the second half which included the game-winning goal. At 60:07, Mount St. Marys junior forward Kurt Borel chipped in a shot off a lead pass, from 12 yards out.
It was very disappointing to come out and play the way we did after our win on Friday night, said head coach Jeff Rohrman. We had a couple of players that had good games, but as a team we just didnt come ready to play.
The 1-0 loss was the second of the season for the Badgers, who return home for three games this week. UW-Green Bay comes to Madison on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. game before the UW heads to Providence, R.I., for the adidas Brown Classic and games vs. Yale and Brown.
