Senior forward Aaron Lauber netted a pair of goals as the University of Wisconsin mens soccer team gained its third straight victory with a 2-1 decision over UW-Green Bay tonight at the McClimon Soccer complex.

Lauber, a former walk-on from Franklin, Wis., put the Badgers on the scoreboard midway through the first half with a shot from near the goal line. The Phoenix evened the score at 1-1 with less than a minute to play in the first half when Darren Bartosz cleared the ball from a crowd in front of the goal and managed to direct it past UW goalkeeper Moriba Atiba Baker, who recorded three saves in his 19th career win.

In the fifth minute of the second half, Lauber notched the first game-winning goal of his collegiate career off a centering pass from fellow senior Dominic DaPra.

Wisconsin makes its first road trip of the 2001 season this weekend, visiting Washington, D.C., for a game at Howard on Friday before traveling to Baltimore to face UMBC on Sunday.
