Wisconsin soccer senior Dominic DaPra was named the Big Tens Player of the Week for his efforts against St. Francis and Alabama A&M this weekend in the Rocky Rococo Classic tournament.
DaPra scored five of Wisconsins six goals in two Badger wins and was named the offensive MVP of the Rocky Rococo Classic. In the season opener against St. Francis, he converted a penalty kick and then added another goal as Wisconsin won, 3-0. On Sunday, he posted his second career hat trick as the Badgers defeated Alabama A&M, 3-1.
DaPra, a 2000 all-Midwest selection, led the Big Ten in scoring last season with 36 point off 15 goals and 6 assists and his 20 career goals in 22 games played at the UW is currently tied for seventh with Dean Duerst (1981-83). DaPra is also tied for third all-time with six multi-goal games and tied for first with two hat tricks.
